This one's for you friend.

My friend Abigail wanted me to post pictures of this quilt for her so here it is. This is a quilt that I recently did for one of the local quilt shops. I was so honored to be allowed to quilt it and when I brought it back I was doubly honored to have it placed in their front window.

This is the top before quilting.

When I brought it home, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how I was going to quilt it but with a little help from my friends and my computer it went quite well. I've been using Photoshop Elements and a Wacom Tablet to draw out designs for some of the quilts. I took an online class from Carla Barrett at Steponpins.com that was very good.
Here are close-ups of the quilting designs used on the quilt.
And the finished quilt.
(I'm sorry, I didn't get a good picture of the borders.)

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and please come again!

Two more for Ruth

I did two more of Ruth's beautiful quilts. The first is a Pinwheel with nine patches. She loves doing scrap quilts and her color choices are so wonderful. I used a panto called Swirls N Twirls.and white SoFine thread on the top and in the  bobbin.
I love the back, it's so soft and pretty!

I'm not sure of the pattern for this one. It's quilted with a panto called Feathered Plumes with Blue SoFine thread in top and in the bobbin.

Here's the back
Both quilt have Warm and Natural batting.
I know that there is a ton of space between the last two pictures but no matter what I do I can't get rid of it. I'm sorry. Blogger seems to have a mind of it's own.

Thank you so much for looking. Please come back again soon.
